Charles Ballard has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Twiga Foods with immediate effect.
Ballard previously worked at Jumia since 2019 as head of performance and planning before rising to the ranks of a chief executive where he transformed the company to profitability.
His appointment follows the exit of former CEO Peter Njonjo.

He has a career spanning over 15 years with a vast experience in e-commerce, retail, and financial services , 9 of which were in the Kenyan market.

The appointment of Ballard will bolster Twiga Foods’ ambition to continue to deliver on its mission to transform food supply chains in Africa.
