Ghanaian Afro-R&B star Gyakie has released her latest single “Unconditional,” marking her second major release of 2025 and setting the stage for her highly anticipated debut album.

The track follows the success of her viral single, “Sankofa,” and represents a significant artistic evolution for the 25-year-old singer-songwriter.

“Unconditional is a celebration of deep, fearless love wrapped in rhythm and groove,” Gyakie said in a statement. “It’s about presence, vulnerability and truth, the kind of love that doesn’t ask for anything but feeling.”

Since breaking through in 2020 with her EP “Seed,” Gyakie (born Jackline Acheampong) has established herself as one of Africa’s most promising voices in contemporary R&B.

“Unconditional” marks the start of Gyakie’s journey toward her much-awaited debut album, a project that explores themes of love, identity and late-night reflection with honesty and elegance.

The release continues Gyakie’s partnership with Sony Music West Africa, positioning her among the label’s roster of African artists making waves in the global music scene.

With “Unconditional,” Gyakie appears ready to expand her reach beyond her established fanbase while maintaining the authentic storytelling that first brought her attention.
