Reigning champions Inter Milan will face Roma in the pick of Matchday 34 fixtures in Serie A this weekend.
Inter will welcome Roma to the San Siro for a clash which will be key to their hopes of retaining the Scudetto, though the visitors are fighting to get into Europe themselves and will head to Milan with hope that they can put a spanner in the works for the Nerazzurri.
“We continue this journey. It’s a struggle, but it makes us proud,” said Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, who is worried about the effect of fatigue on his team.
“It’s a very heavy season, but we must adjust and are doing so with everyone sacrificing themselves to help. Besides physical fatigue, there’s also mental fatigue. Staying focused isn’t easy, but I’m fortunate to coach a group that gives everything for these colours.
“We must continue on this path […]. It will require a lot of sacrifice, and we are ready to put it on the field.”
Inter’s main title threats, Napoli, will host Torino at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. The Partenopei have mostly thrived under the pressure of being championship contenders, according to manager Antonio Conte.

“The fans sense the team is going beyond its limitations, and that can only be appreciated,” said the veteran tactician. “There are dangers in every game, as from now to the end of the campaign, every team has an objective it needs to achieve, whether it’s fighting for safety, a place in Europe or the Scudetto.”
Elsewhere in the Italian top flight in this round, Lazio will host Parma and continue their push for a place in the top European competition next season, AC Milan’s messy season continues with a trip to relegation-threatened Venezia, Juventus will welcome Monza to the Allianz Stadium in Turin, and Atalanta hosts Genoa in Bergamo.

Juve manager Igor Tudor has shaken things up at the Old Lady: “Every match should be approached like a final; I reiterated this to the whole team. The past and future always count for little: I am happy because I found the lads with a desire to work and improve; this has been my good fortune. Their response surprised me positively; they are the ones who make the difference.”
