Luhya Elders dispatched to assist in final send off rites for late Raila

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has dispatched a special delegation of Luhya Elders to assists in the final send off rites for the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The procession involved elders in the company of other locals coming to the homestead with bulls symbolizing the final journey of the departed leader and cleansing of the home.

The elders paid tribute to the late leader as a statesman and a unifying figure in the Kenyan political scene.

Raila, who died on October 15 at the age of 80, has been mourned as a towering statesman whose career was defined by his fight for multiparty democracy, social justice, and constitutional reform.
