Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi expressed his deep sorrow on Sunday as the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was laid to rest in Nyamira village, Bondo Constituency, Siaya County.

He described Raila not only as a comrade in the struggle for democracy and justice but also as a political brother, a friend, and an ally during pivotal moments in the nation’s history.

“For decades, we walked side by side through seasons of hope, hardship, triumph, and transformation,” Mudavadi reflected.

He praised Raila’s courage, conviction, and unwavering love for Kenya, noting that these qualities inspired generations and shaped the trajectory of the country’s democracy.

“Raila’s voice carried the heartbeat of our nation, and his actions spoke louder than words ever could,” said Mudavadi.

Mudavadi continued, “We will sorely miss his wit, his wisdom, his strength, and his unmatched spirit. But though his voice has fallen silent, his legacy will echo through his family, his supporters, and the millions whose lives he touched.”

He noted that Raila’s ideals, sacrifices, and vision are now woven into the fabric of the nation’s story.

“May his light continue to guide Kenya toward unity, justice, and prosperity. Fare thee well, my brother Raila. Your journey on this earth may have ended, but your legacy will endure forever,” stated Mudavadi.
