Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the robbery of an M-Pesa shop in Katangi, Yatta Sub-County, in which an attendant lost Ksh169,000.
Officers from Katangi first arrested Ben Mutuku at Katangi Shopping Centre following information provided by members of the public.
The operation was later extended to Yathui in Mwala Sub-County, where police arrested two more suspects, Simon Makau and Samuel Mbolu.
The two were travelling in a white Toyota Corolla, registration number KDU 164G, when they were arrested.
Police also recovered an M-Pesa till phone which was stolen from the attendant during the incident which occurred on May 15.
The three suspects are being held in police custody pending processing and arraignment in court.
The vehicle and recovered phone have been preserved as exhibits as investigations continue.
