The Thamani Africa Awards is now accepting nominations for its second edition, which celebrates remarkable women who have achieved significant milestones across various fields.
The awards honor women excelling in leadership, community service, humanitarian efforts, governance, sports, arts, media, fashion, and more. Nominations can be submitted by the individuals themselves or by others who recognize their contributions.
This year, the awards have gone continental, with categories recognizing achievements across East and Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, and North Africa. In addition to the 29 competitive categories, Thamani Africa Awards will also present 8 honorary awards to legends in each region:
- 2 for East and Central Africa Legends
- 2 for West Africa Legends
- 2 for North Africa Legends
- 2 for Southern Africa Legends
The nomination period closes on March 8th. The awards gala dinner will take place on May 10th, Mother’s Day, at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
