Senior University of Nairobi Council members, including Prof. Amukowa Anangwe and three others, have been arrested on allegations of abuse of office in the unlawful re-appointment of Brian Ouma as Chief Operations Officer.

They have been processed at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters at Integrity Centre and are set to appear before Milimani Law Court this afternoon.

Elsewhere, EACC Chairperson Bishop David Oginde has challenged Kenyan professionals to take a firm stand against corruption, warning that their expertise is often misused to facilitate unethical dealings in the country.

Oginde, who was speaking in Nairobi during a high-level dialogue hosted by the Architects Alliance, pointed out that grand corruption cannot occur without technical endorsements, whether through falsified designs, inflated budgets, or overlooked safety standards.

The meeting drew together industry leaders to examine the ethical challenges within their fields and the urgent need to safeguard the public trust.
