A section of members of Kilifi County Assembly have expressed frustration after a critical session on Wednesday to scrutinize the county’s health sector failed due to lack of quorum.

They raised concerns, pointing out that the health sector had received a substantial portion of county funding, yet services remained inadequate.

The meeting of the Committee on General Oversight, which was set to be chaired by Speaker Teddy Mwambire, was meant to grill County Health Executive Peter Mwarogo and other senior health officials.

However, only fifteen MCAs were present in the chamber, while 36 others were absent, forcing the session to be adjourned.
