The 35th African Cup of Nations has been epic so far with the display of a high level of the game from all the 24 teams that took part.

A total of 48 matches have been played with 119 goals scored, an average of 2.48 goals per match.

Brahim Diaz of Morocco leads the Golden Boot race with five goals, one goal ahead of Mo Salah from Egypt and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen.

The tournament has also broken the record as the most attended by fans in the stadium, with the cumulative number standing at 1,117,846, in the 48 matches spread across nine venues in 6 cities, with an average of 23,288 fans who attended each match.

As it stands, this year’s attendance is likely to hit 1.5M, as there are still four matches remaining.
