The team also condoled with the families who lost their kin in the accident that involved three vehicles.

The National Police Service has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished a quick recovery to those injured in the incident.

Authorities have since called on motorists and all road users to exercise caution on the roads, particularly with regard to speed limits and overtaking rules.

“This tragic incident is a stark reminder of the importance of personal responsibility while on the road. Adherence to traffic rules is not optional—it is a matter of life and death,” read a statement from the police.
