The African Nations Championship Local Organising Committee (LOC) for matches in Kenya has pleaded with Kenyans to comply with the set CAF regulations in the last group A match pitting Zambia against Kenya this Sunday at the Kasarani stadium.
Addressing the media earlier Tuesday, LOC chairman Nicholas Musonye and FKF President Hussein Mohammed, reaffirmed that only fans with authorised E-tickets will be granted access to watch the match in the stadium.
The LOC has also urged fans to arrive in the stadium at least 5 hours before kick-off to avoid overcrowding outside the stadium near or after kick-off time.
In accommodating more spectators, the LOC is also working on setting up Fan Zones in Nairobi, where those who don’t have tickets can watch the Sunday night match and other subsequent matches pitting Kenya.
This follows CAF’s warning of the future relocation of CHAN matches involving Harambee Stars, if security breaches reoccur, as has been the case in past three matches involving Harambee Stars.
