CS Tuya oversees KDF training to bolster military readiness

Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Kenya’s gallant soldiers as they serve with dedication, discipline, and honor. 

Over the past two days, Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya observed rigorous training exercises aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.

Speaking during the visits CS Tuya noted that training is the foundation of military excellence.

“Training is the foundation of military excellence, ensuring Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are always mission-ready to defend Kenya’s sovereignty and contribute to regional and international peace support operations.” She remarked.

At Lerata Battle Camp, the CS witnessed the issuance of final orders by Officer Cadets, a critical step in their pre-deployment training for the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) on Thursday.

The Defence CS then proceeded to Larisoro Camp today (Friday), where she observed a firepower demonstration involving both the AUSSOM pre-deployment troops and Officer Cadets.

“The live-firing exercise showcased KDF’s exceptional joint and combined warfare capability, reinforcing our readiness to safeguard national security and contribute to peace support missions.” She said.
