Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja on Monday met with a delegation from AFRIPOL, led by Executive Director Amb. Jalel Chelba as well as representatives from the German Embassy and the German Federal Police.

Their discussions, held at the NPS Headquarters, focused on areas of mutual concern including cooperation in cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, transnational organised crime among others.

IG Kanja, who is also the President of the African Union Mechanism for Police Cooperation (AFRIPOL)  appreciated the mutually beneficial longstanding partnership with the German Embassy and the Federal Police that has facilitated several successful projects, particularly in training and capacity building, which have strengthened the Service’s capacity in responding to emerging technological demands and support digital transformation.
