The recently concluded Uganda Golf Club Ladies Open 2025 in Kitante brought together professional and amateur golfers from across East Africa, highlighting the sport’s growing appeal in the region.

Speaking at the event, Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club General Manager, James Rattos, said their sponsorship was about more than visibility, noting it reflected Windsor’s commitment to supporting golf beyond Kenya.

“Golf is more than a game; it’s a way of building bridges across borders, communities, and cultures. As Windsor, we are proud to stand alongside Uganda Golf Club in championing this spirit. Supporting this tournament allows us to extend our love for the game beyond Kenya and to celebrate golf as an experience that unites us all.” The GM noted.

The tournament provided competitive play, but it was also an opportunity for participants to interact, share experiences, and promote sportsmanship.

It also offered an opportunity to network, share experiences, and celebrate the values of sportsmanship.

Rattos says the sponsorship was about reinforcing the facilities position as the premier golf hotel in Kenya, home to the iconic 18-hole championship course, and showing solidarity with the larger golfing family across the region.

With athletes, fans and sponsors contributing to its success, the UGC Ladies Open once again underlined the role of golf as a connector across East Africa.
