Traffic along the busy Nairobi-Nakuru highway was Friday morning disrupted after a lorry ferrying unrefined edible oil overturned at Gitaru junction.
The early morning incident saw traffic police and fire brigade deployed to the area with motorists urged to observe caution while driving along the slippery section.
The incident caused heavy traffic snarl-up along the road besides affecting traffic on the southern bypass.
The incident comes barely a month after another truck ferrying unrefined cooking oil en-route to Uganda from Mombasa overturned in the same area following a tyre burst.
