Kenya’s Shujaa will play South Africa in the final of the 9th place playoff Sunday,morning after beating USA in the semifinal played Saturday in the ongoing 5th leg of the World Rugby Sevens Circuit in Hong Kong.
After beating Spain and losing to Great Britain in the first two pool matches yesterday, Kenya suffered a second pool loss 14-7 against France and was relegated to the 9th place semifinal where they beat USA 17-10.
Kenya will now play South Africa who thrashed Uruguay 33-7 in the second 9th place semifinal played today.
After the first four legs of the series this season, Kenya sits 9th on the standings with equal 15 points as 10th placed Uruguay and 17points behind 8th placed Great Britain.
Argentina lead the way with 68 points, four above second placed Spain while Fiji and South Africa are 3rd and 4th on 62 points each.
