KCA University holds 19th graduation ceremony for 3,286 students

KCA University (KCAU) has held its 19th Graduation Ceremony, presenting 3,286 graduates who completed various programmes across four schools. The event took place under the theme “Innovate, Elevate, Impact.”

Speaking during the ceremony, Prof. Isaiah I.C. Wakindiki, VC and CEO, noted the University’s ongoing focus on aligning academic programmes with workforce needs.

“This year’s graduates embody the spirit of innovation and resilience. As they step into the world, they carry with them the skills, values, and mindset to elevate industries and impact communities,” he said.

The event also highlighted the presence of international students from several African countries, reflecting the institution’s diverse academic community.

Graduate Distribution Across Schools

  • School of Business – 1,213 graduates
  • Professional & Technical Training Institute – 1,032 graduates
  • School of Technology – 750 graduates
  • School of Education, Arts & Social Sciences – 291 graduates

In his address, Mr. Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, CBS, Chairperson of the KCA University Council, outlined the Council’s commitment to governance and academic standards.

“The University Council remains steadfast in providing strategic oversight to ensure that KCAU continues to deliver quality, relevant and impactful education. Earlier this year, the Council approved the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan,” he said.

Presiding over the ceremony, FCPA Dr. Martin Oduor Otieno, CBS, Chancellor of KCA University, encouraged graduates to remain purposeful in their professional pursuits.

“Innovation begins with a curious mind and a willingness to solve real problems,” he remarked.

The ceremony marks another milestone in the institution’s academic calendar as it concludes the year with a new strategic plan and an expanding international student presence.
