Kenya bids to host Mobile World Congress 2025

Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, led by Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo

Kenya has expressed interest in hosting GSMA Mobile World Congress next year.

Information, Communication and Digital Economy Caninet Secretary Eliud Owalo who is leading the Kenyan delegation will attend  this year’s event scheduled for 24th to 29th this month and meet GSMA Event team to cement the country’s bid to host the GSMA Mobile World Congress – Africa 2025.

CS Owalo will take participate in the roundtable session on ‘Closing the Connectivity Gap in Africa Through Universal Service Fund Reforms’.

He will also be the guest speaker during the Kenya National Dialogue where he is expected to launch Kenya’s digitization study in collaboration with GSMA.

The annual event which is the world’s largest and most influential connectivity forum brings together policy makers, industry leaders and players in the ICT industry with the aim of forging partnerships to develop the industry.
