Football Kenya Federation Premier League Champions,Kenya Police Fc, will face Somalia’s Mogadishu CC in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League according to the draw released today by Confederation Of African Football.
The first leg is set to be held on the weekend of 19-21st September while the return leg will be held on 26-28th September.
Winners will advance to the second preliminary round scheduled 17–19 October, with the return legs a week later from 24–26 October.
The successful sides will earn their place in the Group Stage, which kicks off on 21 November 2025.
The group stage matches are set to be held on 13th March 2026.
A record-breaking 120 Football Clubs are set to participate in the competition as well as in the Confederation Cup ,CAF’s secondary Inter cou competition.
A total of 62 teams will contest in CAF Champions League, while 58 will take part in the CAF Confederation Cup.
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has announced a significant improvement in the financial support from USD 50 000 to USD 100 000 to clubs participating in the Preliminary Rounds.
