Kenya to host two meetings for Africa CDC , April

Kenya is set to host two key meetings for the  Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) this month, April.

These are the Regional Technical Advisory Committee and the Eastern Africa Regional Steering Committee meetings.

According Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni,  these meetings will play a critical role in evaluating the advancements made towards fulfilling the Africa CDC’s mandate.

Acting Director of the East Africa Regional Coordination Centre for Africa CDC, Dr. Lul-Riek paid the PS a courtesy visit to lay the groundwork for crucial discussions.

Africa CDC is meant to strengthen the capacity and capability of Africa’s public health institutions as well as partnerships to detect and respond quickly and effectively to disease threats and outbreaks, based on data-driven interventions and programmes.
