The Nairobi Hospital has moved to reassure the public that operations at the facility are back on track, days after the court halted investigations of its operations.
High Court Judge John Chigiti issued an order halting investigations into the hospital’s operations, including a move by investigative agencies to block or freeze the phone numbers and bank accounts of senior management officials.
Speaking at a media briefing, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Board, Barcely Onyambu, dismissed reports of ongoing leadership wrangles.
He maintained that services at the facility are running smoothly and that the management is focused on enhancing patient outcomes.
The hospital has recently been under scrutiny over alleged financial mismanagement and governance controversies, including questions surrounding board appointments and leadership decisions.
Addressing these concerns, Onyambu defended the institution’s hiring practices, stating that a person’s place of origin should never be used as a criterion for employment.
As the hospital seeks to restore public confidence, stakeholders are keenly watching how the new leadership will navigate the challenges and steer the institution back to stability.
