President William Ruto has commended retired Major General Joseph Kasaine Madoka for his distinguished service and for capturing his life’s journey in a newly released memoir titled “At the Ready”. The President lauded Madoka for embodying the spirit of patriotism, discipline, and integrity throughout his career in the Kenya Defence Forces and public service.
Speaking during the book’s launch, President Ruto noted that Madoka’s story reflects Kenya’s rich military heritage and serves as an inspiration to future generations. The memoir chronicles Madoka’s decades of service, from his early years in the army to his later leadership roles in government and diplomacy.
Ruto praised the retired officer for “living up to the spirit of readiness, service, and duty,” adding that “At the Ready” offers valuable lessons in leadership, resilience, and national pride.
