President William Ruto arrived back in the country Saturday evening, after a 4-day State visit to the United States.

The head of state was received at the airport by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, and the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome among others.

“It’s good to be back home!” President Ruto posted on his X account immediately after he landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Ruto’s state visit to the US came at a time when Kenya and the United States celebrated 60 years of diplomatic relations.

During the tour, Ruto and his host President Joe Biden undertook to deepen cooperation for the benefit of the two countries and their people.

The state visit was the first state visit by an African Head of State in 16 years to the United States.
