Senate approves formation of National Dialogue Committee

The senate has unanimously approved the establishment of the National Dialogue Committee after the National Assembly okayed the legality of the team.

During the special sitting of the senate held on Tuesday, senators in support of the motion said the move was necessary for the stability of the nation.

While debating the motion the senators highlighted charged electoral circles that often lead to protests as some of the areas that need prompt address

The 10 member committee is now set to sign a framework to guide the dialogue on Wednesday, a move which will pave way to commence addressing areas of National interest.

The Azimio La Umoja Coalition is represented by Kalonzo Musyoka while Cecily Mbarire is leading the Kenya Kwanza Alliance in the talks.
