Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Performance and Delivery, Eliud Owalo has called on Kenyans to fully support the government to enable it fulfill its mandate.
Owalo, the former Information, Communications and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary said that the president William Ruto led government has good plans for the country, adding that this can be proved by the achievements it has made in the last two years.
He was speaking at Oboch primary school in Rarieda sub-county, Siaya Friday when he launched a Ksh 35 million rehabilitation project that will see the school’s infrastructure improved.
Owalo said that good policies have seen the country make fundamental progress in agriculture leading to increased production.
“When we came into government, fertilizer was going for about Ksh 6,000. Today there is a fundamental reduction in the price and it is going for Ksh 2,500,” he said adding that this has enhanced agricultural productivity.
The deputy chief of staff challenged the locals not to shy away from borrowing money from the Hustler Fund to start or improve their businesses.
He said that since the initiation of the fund, the government has disbursed over sh. 50 billion.
The Ksh 35 million Oboch primary school rehabilitation will involve provision of several new classrooms, an administration block, a kitchen and an ICT hub and will be funded by Safaricom – Mpesa foundation.
