Communications Authority of Kenya-sponsored team Talanta FC and Kawangware-based Nairobi City Stars have been officially relegated from the FKF Premier League after the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season on Sunday evening.

City Stars finished bottom of the table with 35 points after being held to a barren draw by Mathare United in round 34 matches, while Talanta were relegated by fellow relegation contenders Murang’a Seal after losing 1-0 at the SportPesa Arena.

Posta Rangers, who finished 16th on 35 points after holding Bandari to 1-1 in Mbaraki, will now face Naivas FC, who finished 3rd in the National Super League, for a chance to play in top-flight football next season.

Police FC were crowned champions with 65 points after playing to 1-1 with the reigning champions, Gor Mahia, in the match played at the Ulinzi Complex.

Gor finished 2nd with 59 points, a point ahead of Kakamega Homeboyz, who shared spoils with Tuskers FC in Kakamega, while Tusker finished the season on 57 points.

Shabana finished 5th on 53 points.

Police FC will now represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season, while Gor can still redeem themselves and earn a confederation cup ticket should they win the Mozzartbet Cup final against NSL Champions Nairobi United.

Nairobi United and Administration Police Service FC, who finished in 1st and 2nd positions in the NSL, have been promoted to the FKF PL next season.
