Tusker Fc won their first league match under new head coach Jullien Mette after narrowly defeating Muranga Seal 1-0 at Wanguru Stadium,Kirinyaga County.
Ibrahim Joshua’s 26th minute header was all that Tusker needed to walk away with the maximum points that move them to 8th position with 31 points.
Tusker will be seeking to continue with the good run when they face Kariobangi Sharks in their forthcoming league tie scheduled March 2nd 2026.
It was Muranga Seal’s second successive loss after enjoying a winning run in their recent league matches and will be targeting to bounce back against Posta Rangers on Sunday.
Meanwhile Bandari Fc’s resurgence under head coach Bernard Mwalala continues despite being held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Nairobi United. Benson Omala fired first for Nairobi United in the 23rd minute while the hosts levelled the scores through Amza Moubarak’s well struck shot from the edge of the box.
With few chances being created in the second half the two teams were forced to share the points at Mombasa Sports Club grounds.
