Man City has reached an agreement to pay Wolves left-back Rayan Ait Nouri up to £36.3 million.
The 23-year-old is now free to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
City are hopeful of getting Ait Nouri’s medical completed and the deal finalised before Tuesday’s 7pm deadline, which will allow him to play in the Club World Cup.
The deal’s initial value of £31 million might increase to £36.3 million.
In his 157 appearances with Wolves, the Algerian international has scored 12 goals and provided 19 assists since joining the Molineux from French team Angers in 2020.
Due to the 50% sell-on clause they agreed, Angers will receive around £9.7 million.
