The newly commissioned blood centre, fully equipped with critical blood processing technology makes Samburu County self-reliant in blood services.

So far, 516 digital devices have been delivered, 38 trainers engaged, and 172 healthcare workers trained to enhance their capacity in using the technology.

The devices will be deployed to 108 public health facilities, improving access to patient data and streamlining service delivery.

These two landmark initiatives are pivotal in accelerating the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) under Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
