The Atlas Lions of Morocco will face Barea from Madagascar in the final of the 8th TotalEnergies African Nations Championships today at the Kasarani Stadium.
The 6pm kickoff of the CHAN 2024 final will be attended by 48,000 spectators with tickets already sold out.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who arrived in the country Friday night alongside the CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, will be among the high dignitaries to watch today’s final.
Morocco finished 2nd in Group A en route to the final, winning 3 matches, before eliminating Tanzania in the last 8 and dethroning 2022 champions Senegal via spot kicks after a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra time.
The Atlas Lions under the tutelage of former international Terik Sektioui are playing in their third final, winning it back-to-back in 2016 and 2020.

In their fairy tale, Madagascar, who finished 3rd in the last edition, finished 2nd in Group B with two victories, a defeat and a draw before overcoming Kenya in the quarters and eliminating Sudan in the semis.
