The Grand Fashion Awards concluded its second edition with 40 winners across fashion, beauty and digital content categories, recognising professionals shaping Kenya’s style landscape.
Musician Stivo Simple Boy won the Most Fashionable Inspirational Personality award, while Y254’s DJ Epic, co-host of the award-winning show Bounce Nation, claimed the Most Fashionable Male DJ title.
WizMario took home Fashion Designer of the Year, Kanazie Tcha won Fashion Stylist of the Year and looks like Avido claimed Fashion Clothline of the Year.
The modelling categories recognised The Next Denis as Male Runway Model of the Year and Judoo Sonali as Female Runway Model of the Year. Mr Xabib and Mercy Kay won in the commercial modelling categories.
Beauty professionals honoured included Glam by Kez for Makeup Artist of the Year, Bram the Colourist for Hairstylist of the Year, Charlo the Barber for Barber of the Year and Turubai Beauty Bar for Nail Salon of the Year.
Television and digital personalities were well represented, with Caren Kibett winning Most Fashionable TV Personality, Diana Mishjune taking the YouTube category, and Rhoda Wayua claiming the TikTok award. Claudia Naisabwa won Most Fashionable Female MC.
The awards introduced sustainability categories this year: Sophaya Studio won Sustainable Fashion Designer, Rika Wardrobe took Upcycle Fashion Brand, and Zanta Adeyde claimed Sustainable Fashion Brand of the Year.
The late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Terry Mungai, Founder of Ashleys Kenya Ltd and Franchise Director Miss World Kenya and Saitoti Maitemai, Director of Delight Technical College, received Special Recognition Awards.
Business categories included Zannetti Gent’s Fashion for Fashion Shop of the Year, Purely Brass Africa for Accessories Designer, Lintons Academy for Beauty School and Makeover by Royalty for Beauty Spa of the Year.
Other notable winners included June By Design for Wedding Designer of the Year, Denzel Palette Modelling for Modelling Agency of the Year, Mr Ochola for Fashion Photographer of the Year and Africanah Rapudo as Most Fashionable Celebrity Kid.
