Global consumer electronic manufacture, Hisense secured a distribution partnership deal with Hotpoint Appliances as it targets to strengthen its foothold in Kenya.
The Chinese firm says the partnership will enable Hotpoint utilize its extensive retail, distribution, and after-sales network to bring Hisense’s collection of AI-enhanced televisions, smart home gadgets, and connected living solutions to the Kenyan market.
“Teaming up with Hotpoint represents a significant milestone in Hisense’s African expansion strategy and underscores our long-term dedication to the Kenyan market,” said Jason Ou, President of Hisense MEA and India.
The deal is expected to increase competition in Kenya’s rapidly expanding electronics and home appliance market, with many brands increasingly switching to AI-powered electronics and smart energy-efficient technologies.
According to Ou, the collaboration is expected to increase competition in Kenya’s rapidly expanding electronics and home appliance market, with many brands increasingly switching to AI-powered electronics and smart energy-efficient technologies.
“Together, we are providing Kenyan consumers with access to some of the world’s most cutting-edge innovations in home entertainment and smart living,” he added.
This comes amid growing trend among electronics retailers to tap into the rising demand for smart entertainment systems, energy-efficient devices, and integrated home ecosystems, fueled by the increasing digital adoption in Kenyan households.
During the announcement of the deal, Hisense also unveiled new line of TV series ahead of the World Cup slated for next month.
