The Principal Secretary for Public Service & Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Imbunya has emphasized that a well-prepared, ethical, and competent clerical workforce is critical to Kenya’s broader efforts to modernize public administration and enhance citizen trust.

Speaking during a presiding over event for a new group of Clerical Officers II (CSG 13) who officially began their public service  induction at the Kitui Multipurpose Development Centre, the PS encouraged the officers to remain committed to professionalism and integrity.

“Today is not just a ceremony it’s the beginning of your journey as public servants,” said Dr. Imbunya.

She expressed confidence in the officers’ potential to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development and deliver impactful service to Kenyans.

“Public service is not just a job. It is a calling to serve with dignity, diligence, and devotion. I am confident that each of you has the potential to contribute meaningfully to our country’s progress.” She remarked.

The induction is designed to orient the new officers to the operational, strategic, and ethical foundations of public service.

The structured program introduces participants to the core functions and structure of the Ministry, key national development strategies, including Kenya Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) as well as the public service code of conduct, ethics, and values that govern responsible and effective service delivery.
