Bibiani Gold Stars FC defeated Accra Lions 4-0 on Sunday, the last day of the 2024–25 season, to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time ever.

The Bibiani-based team had an incredible season, and their qualifying for the 2025–26 CAF Champions League—Africa’s top club competition—was guaranteed with the decisive victory at Dun’s Park.

The win gave Gold Stars a three-point lead at the top of the table ahead of their rivals Nations FC and Heart of Lions who tied on 60 points in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Gold Stars, who were promoted to top-flight football in 2021, will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
