America-based construction equipment company DEWALT, a flagship brand of Stanley Black & Decker, has announced strategic expansion into the African market by using its newly launched operations in Kenya as a gateway into Africa.

Stanley Black & Decker General Manager for the Middle East and Africa, Parmesh Venkateswaran, said they target fostering skills development through partnerships with De Paul Technical Training Centre as well as other public-private partnerships for operations.

As part of this expansion, DEWALT has introduced three groundbreaking products: the GRABO Suction Lifter, the XR Concrete Nailer , and the DEWALT POWERSHIFT. The DEWALT GRABO Suction Lifter, with its powerful suction technology, allows for seamless handling of heavy materials, while the XR Concrete Nailer ensures precision and speed in fastening applications.

Venkateswaran added that they are committed to empowering the African workforce and transforming the construction industry by enhancing productivity, efficiency, and safety.

In addition to providing top-tier tools, DEWALT is determined to fostering skills development through our partnership with De Paul Technical Training Centre, a respected vocational institute known for its focus on carpentry and woodworking a collaboration that aims to equip the next generation of construction professionals with the skills they need to thrive in the industry.

The company will also partner with BuildHer, an organisation dedicated to empowering women in the construction sector geared towards creating equal opportunities and building a more inclusive industry by equipping women with the tools and skills they need to succeed.
