Originally released in December 2024, the film “On Air,” directed and produced by Edwin Nyongesa, is based on a true story.
Filmed in one location, the story is centered around a dramatic radio broadcast during a police standoff after a failed robbery.
The main character of the film Rango, finds himself thrust into a crisis when a “criminal” named Ondivo, who is engaged in a shootout with the police, calls into a popular Nairobi radio station (Suncity Radio) to narrate his side of the story live on air.
