Machakos County Governor, Wavinya Ndeti, has called on the Government, through the Ministry of Health, to streamline the operations of the Social Health Authority (SHA) to ensure that all Kenyans benefit equitably.

She noted that the current system has gaps that are causing challenges for many hospitals in delivering quality healthcare services.

“Let us receive the funds for the services we have already provided to our people. We need these funds to purchase medicine because many patients are coming to our hospitals, and the situation is becoming serious for us,” said Wavinya.

She also emphasized the importance of fostering a collaborative relationship between religious and political leaders, highlighting that they all serve the same citizens.

“Whether you are the President, Governor, MP, or MCA, we all lead the same people, let us work together for the common good,” urged Wavinya

Additionally, the Governor reaffirmed that Kenya is a democratic country where every individual and political party has the right to choose their preferred political alignment Currently the nation is witnessing significant political realignments both within the government and the opposition.
