The national women’s soccer team Harambee Starlets suffered a 2-0 defeat against Ivory Coast during their friendly match played at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium,Abidjan.
It was the second of back to back friendly encounters between the two sides after their first meeting last Friday ended with a similar scoreline in favour of the hosts.

Timite Yasmine and Diallo Ammy scored in each half to hand their side the win against Kenya who struggled to breakdown their opponents defence.
Harambee Starlets used the friendly to fine tune themselves ahead of the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Gambia in October.

Kenya will host Gambia on October 20th in the first leg,second and final round of qualifiers, with the reverse fixture scheduled five days later in Bangui.
The win over the two legs will qualify for the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations finals.
