“We are thrilled to honor Amos Muigai with the Safe Use Ambassador Award. His dedication to promoting safe agricultural practices aligns perfectly with Bayer’s commitment to sustainability and the well-being of farmers.

During the inaugural launch event, over 50 students from the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences were trained on the safe and responsible use of crop protection products.
By sharing their expertise in sustainable farming with their local farming communities throughout the summer break, the “Safe Use Ambassadors” were expected to document their interactions and experiences by the end of the program.
Its success in Kenya serves as a testament to the amazing power of invention and teamwork, and we are excited to continue fostering sustainability, leadership, and safety in the agriculture industry.
By equipping future agricultural leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge, Bayer is paving the way for a safer and more sustainable agricultural sector,” said Joern Kraegeloh, Bayer East Africa Managing Director.
This project was started in 2017 and since then, it has expanded to more than 50 colleges across more than 15 nations, training over 11,200 students to become official Bayer Safe Use Ambassadors.
“I am deeply honored to receive this award. Being the winner of the Bayer SUA 2024 will be one of the most memorable experiences of my student days.
