Kudus leads Ghana to fifth World Cup Qualification

Four-time African champions the Black Stars of Ghana sealed their ticket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for a record 5th time in history and their 2nd successive   qualification after competing in the 2022 edition in Qatar.

Tottenham talisman Mohammed scored the all-important goal in a 1-0 win over Comoros in the last group I match on Sunday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The victory ensured Ghana topped the group on 25 points, 6 ahead of 2nd-placed Madagascar.

Ghana becomes the 5th team from Africa to qualify for next year’s tournament in Mexico, the USA and Canada after Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria.

Other confirmed nations include the defending champions Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Morocco, and hosts the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
