A delegation of nearly 100 young and mid-career military officers from over 40 African nations is currently in China at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defence (MND).

The group includes representatives from countries such as Kenya, Egypt, Mozambique, and Tanzania. They are on a 10-day visit from May 6 to 15, during which they will explore cities including Beijing, Changsha, and Shaoshan.

This visit marks the fourth occasion on which the Chinese Ministry of National Defense has organized such an event. Hosted by the Chinese PLA National University of Defense Technology, the trip aims to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and to deepen the traditional friendship between the militaries of China and African nations.

Additionally, the visit seeks to enhance mutual understanding among young and middle-aged military officers from China and Africa, contributing to the development of a strong China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
