In every ten minutes, someone needs blood donation in Kenya. Kenya needs about 500,000 units of blood annually for patients. Unfortunately, Kenya collects less than 40 percent of what is in needed. Out of the little we collect, we still go ahead and lose most of it to expiry and other wastage. Chris Omondi produced this story.
