Several roads leading to the Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums are to be closed on Sunday for CHAN matches.
Several roads heading towards Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums will be closed on Sunday for the two Group A African Nations championship matches.
Harambee Stars will play DR Congo at the Kasarani Stadium starting at 3pm.
Thereafter,two-time champions the Atlas Lions of Morocco will face Angola’s Palancas Negras from 6pm at the Nyayo stadium.
Among the roads to be closed are Aerodrome, Langata, and Mombasa roads.
Aerodrome Road will be closed from Madaraka Rounda up to Bunyala Roundabout, while Langata Road is set to be closed on one side from Madaraka Roundabout to Lusaka Roundabout.
One side of Mombasa Road will also be closed from Lusaka Roundaboutto Bunyala Roundabout.
Diversions
Motorists from Mombasa Road heading to the CBD are advised to use Lioni-Enterprise Road at General Motors and Southern Bypass at Olesereni.
Motorists from Langata Road to CBD will use Raila Odinga Road or Muhoho Road at Mbagathi Roundabout.
Motorists from Nairobi CBD to Thika Road-Ruiru-Juja-Thika are to use Limuru Road or Kiambu Road.
Also, matatus ferrying fans to Kasarani Stadium are advised to use Ruaraka-Babadogo Road and Ngomongo Road to the Ngomongo Road roundabout.
Motorists from Thika Road will use either Eastern Bypass, Kiambu, or Limuru Road.
