In the weekly forecast released on Monday, the counties of Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West-Pokot, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok as well as Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi are expected to receive heavy rainfall depicted by the deep red colour on the map.

In the forecast released by Deputy Director of Meteorological Services Kennedy Thiong’o, the average daytime temperatures of more than 30° Celsius will be experienced in much of the Coast, North-eastern and Northwestern Kenya as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands.

The Weatherman says average night-time temperatures will be less than 10° Celsius in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley and in the vicinity of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
