The Government through the Ministry of Public Service, has plans to establish Huduma Centres in each sub-county and constituency in the country as part of the Bottom Up Transformative Agenda (BETA) and Kenya Vision 2030.

Principal Secretary Public Service Amos Gathecha said this at Machakos Huduma Centre during the launch of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management Services (KISM) into 10 Huduma centres for easy service delivery.

He noted that at present, there were 58 Huduma centres and they planned to have more centres in each of the 290 constituencies in the country so as to bring services closer to its citizens.

He pointed out that the deployment of KISM into Huduma reaffirms their commitment to increasing convenience for supply chain practitioners who have to travel to Nairobi to access KISM services.

Additionally, he acknowledged the Huduma Universal Agent as a key enabler to the partnership and the agent is a staff member at Huduma that is trained to offer multiple services on behalf of the Ministry, Department and Agencies.
