Mount Kenya University pavilion grounds in Thika was the place to be as hundreds of sherehe lovers turned up for the True Kenyan Fest.
The event was powered by Kenya Cane to celebrate the official launch of their latest Lemon and Ginger flavour and it brought together some of Kenya’s hottest artists for a day of nonstop entertainment.
Toxic Lyrikali, whose hit song “Backbencher” currently tops Apple Music charts in Kenya, headlined the event. His performance proved why he’s become one of the most talked about musicians in the country right now.
Award winning MC Azeezah also took to the stage, delivering her signature style that fans have come to love, while DJ Gibbz Tha Daq Child kept the party going with a mix that had people dancing.
Arbantone sensation Tipsy Gee, known for hits like “Finish Kumalo,” brought his energy to the festival. Speaking after his performance, he praised the crowd in Thika and the event setup. “The crowd in Thika is always on top. The setup has been good, the sound has been good and the crowd has been wild.”
Other performers included Ayrosh, who brought surprise act Wanjine on stage to perform their hit songs together, and Stage Revolution Band.

The True Kenyan Fest featured interactive installations where fans could take photos and sample the new Lemon and Ginger variant.
As the music scene in Kenya continues to grow, with artists like Toxic Lyrikali leading the charge, events like this one give local musicians a platform to reach new fans and showcase their talent.
