Vihiga Queens land unprecedented fourth title

Vihiga Queens capped their outstanding season with  a 2-1 win against Gaspo FC to lift their fourth Football Kenya Federation Women’s premier league title.

The win handed the Bonface Nyamunyamu coached side the crown on 55 points , 8 clear of second placed Gaspo FC.

Ulinzi Starlets wound up third with 45 points.

Kayole Starlets,Kangemi Ladies FC and Kisumu All Starlets were all relegated after finishing in bottom three places.

Queens now switch their attention to the Cecafa Club Champions League qualifiers set for July in Uganda after missing the showpiece last year due to the FIFA suspension.

The team participated in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champion League in Egypt in 2021 after winning the qualifiers in Nairobi.
