Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi leads Ingwe’s 60th anniversary celebrations in welcoming Spanish side Ramassa

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi spearheaded AFC Leopards’ warm reception for Spanish side Associacio Esportiva Ramassa at Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium today, March 23, 2024.

The Spanish team is poised to clash with AFC Leopards in a friendly to culminate Ingwe’s 60th anniversary celebrations at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, March 24, 2024, a match which will also be attended by President William Ruto .

During a press conference at Nyayo Stadium, Hon. Tim Wanyonyi expressed his anticipation for a captivating football showdown, highlighting the beautiful style of play associated with Spanish.


As a devoted fan of AFC Leopards, he pledged his unwavering support to the team as they embark on a new chapter post-60 years.

Reflecting on AFC’s six-decade journey, Mr. Wanyonyi emphasized his aspirations for the club’s future, envisioning financial stability achieved through member contributions and corporate partnerships.

He also envisaged packed stadiums as AFC Leopards attracts larger crowds and grows into one of Africa’s premier clubs, even nurturing talent that could be sold to European outfits.

In response, the Spanish representative extended gratitude to AFC Leopards for their warm hospitality, expressing excitement for the upcoming friendly match, which he deemed both significant and historical for Associacio Esportiva Ramassa.

Wanyonyi gave a cash donation of ksh 500,000 to go towards the mile stone achievement.

Ingwe ladies will play friendly matches against Shabana Queens as well as Gor Mahia ladies, before Mashemeji derby legends showdown.
