20-time Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia FC will restructure its youth system in a move geared towards revamping the team and turning it into a local and continental powerhouse.
Owalo emphasized his intention of reallocating more resources to the youth teams, which will be the feeder to the senior Gor Mahia teams for both men and women.
Speaking today in Jericho, the newly appointed club Patron Eliud Owalo said key among his priorities is to ensure financial sustainability for the club through corporate sponsorship.
“Of course, to change the senior team, you must start with youth teams, and that’s why we want to restructure to ensure Gor Mahia senior teams for men and women have a continuous feeder youth system. Our aim this season is to win the Kenyan Premier League and turn GOR Mahia into a continental powerhouse,” Owalo remarked.

The Deputy Chief of Staff was speaking on Saturday in Jericho grounds when he donated 35 tracksuits to the Gor Mahia Youth team and another 30 tracksuits to the Gor Mahia Queens.
“Key of my priorities is to make the team financially sustainable through corporate sponsorship,” Owalo added
Owalo took over Gor Mahia FC Patronage following the demise of the former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
